How To Make Indian Minced Lamb Skewers

Ingredients

  • 500g minced lamb
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the minced lamb, onion, garlic, ginger, green chili, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well to combine.

  2. Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a small cylinder on a soaked wooden skewer. Repeat with the remaining mixture.

  3. Heat oil in a grill pan or on a barbecue grill. Place the skewers on the pan or grill and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until the lamb is cooked through and nicely browned.

  4. Serve hot with mint chutney or tzatziki sauce.
