How To Make Greek-style Ground Lamb Skewers
Juicy lamb skewers seasoned with Mediterranean spices and herbs, perfect for grilling or roasting.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 wooden or metal skewers
Instructions
-
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
-
In a large bowl, mix together ground lamb, red onion, garlic, parsley, mint, oregano, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
-
Divide the mixture into 8 portions and form each portion into a sausage-like shape around a skewer.
-
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill skewers for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
-
Serve with tzatziki or your favorite dipping sauce.
