Ingredients

  • 1 lb lamb, cut into cubes
  • 2 tbsp tandoori masala
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup chopped mint
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • 4 pita breads, warmed

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together tandoori masala, Greek yogurt, minced garlic, grated ginger, lemon juice, and salt.

  2. Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and mix well, ensuring each piece is coated. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

  3. Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.

  4. Thread the marinated lamb onto skewers.

  5. Grill the skewers for about 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked to your desired level of doneness.

  6. While the lamb is grilling, prepare the slaw by combining shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, thinly sliced red onion, chopped cilantro, chopped mint, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl. Mix well.

  7. In another bowl, prepare the raita by mixing together Greek yogurt, chopped cucumber, minced garlic, chopped mint, lemon juice, and salt.

  8. Serve the grilled lamb skewers with warmed pita bread, crunchy slaw, and raita dip. Enjoy!
