How To Make Bay Leaf Marinade for Chicken

A tangy and flavorful marinade for chicken with the fragrant aroma of bay leaves.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 bay leaves, crushed
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, brown sugar, olive oil, crushed bay leaves, salt, and pepper.

  2. Place the chicken breasts in a large, resealable bag and pour the marinade over them.

  3. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours.

  4. When ready to cook, preheat grill or oven to medium high heat.

  5. Remove chicken from marinade and discard excess marinade.

  6. Cook chicken for 10-15 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

  7. Serve hot with your choice of sides.
