How To Make Bay Leaf-infused Hot Chocolate

Delicious twist on hot cocoa with aromatic bay leaves for a cozy drink.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of milk
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 6 oz of dark chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tbsp of granulated sugar
  • 2 dried bay leaves
  • Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, add milk, heavy cream, sugar, and bay leaves, and whisk until sugar is dissolved.

  2. Add chopped chocolate and whisk until melted and smooth.

  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer and remove from heat.

  4. Strain the hot chocolate through a fine-mesh sieve into mugs.

  5. Serve with whipped cream and chocolate shavings
