Ingredients

  • 4 oranges
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup whiskey
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Wash the oranges and lemon, then slice them thinly, removing any seeds.

  2. In a large saucepan, combine the sliced fruit, sugar, whiskey, and water.

  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. After 60 minutes, increase the heat to medium-high and cook for an additional 15 minutes, or until the mixture thickens to your desired consistency.

  5. Remove from heat and let the marmalade cool for a few minutes.

  6. Transfer the marmalade to sterilized jars and seal tightly.

  7. Allow the jars to cool completely before storing in the refrigerator.
