Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu, sliced into 8 pieces
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 French baguettes
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1/2 cup pickled carrots and daikon radish
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Press tofu to remove excess water, then coat in cornstarch.

  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. Add tofu slices and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes per side.

  4. Mix mayonnaise and sriracha sauce in a small bowl.

  5. Slice baguettes in half lengthwise and spread with mayonnaise mixture.

  6. Top with crispy tofu, pickled vegetables, cilantro, and jalapeno slices.

  7. Slice sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
