Ingredients

  • 1 cup of tempeh, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of liquid smoke
  • 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together soy sauce, maple syrup, liquid smoke, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  2. Add the tempeh slices to the marinade and let them marinate for at least 10 minutes, flipping them halfway through.

  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  4. Place a wire rack on a baking sheet and lightly coat it with cooking spray.

  5. Arrange the marinated tempeh slices on the wire rack, leaving some space between them.

  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and browned.

  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
