How To Make Roquefort & Walnut Rolls

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup Roquefort cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add the cold butter to the flour mixture and using your fingers or a pastry cutter, cut it into the dry ingredients until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Gradually pour in the milk, stirring until a dough forms. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 2 minutes.

Roll out the dough into a 12×8 inch rectangle. Spread the crumbled Roquefort cheese and chopped walnuts evenly over the dough.

Starting from one of the longer sides, tightly roll up the dough into a log. Cut the log into 12 equal slices.

Place the rolls onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.

Serve the Roquefort & Walnut Rolls warm.
