How To Make Red Onion & Rosemary Focaccia

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary, chopped
- Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, and salt.

Add the olive oil and gradually pour in the warm water. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Punch down the dough and transfer it to a greased baking sheet. Press the dough out into a rectangle shape.

Arrange the sliced red onion and chopped rosemary on top of the dough. Press them lightly into the dough.

Sprinkle the focaccia with coarse sea salt.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Allow the focaccia to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
