Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp thyme, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread slices until crispy and set aside.

  2. In a skillet, melt the butter with olive oil over medium heat.

  3. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.

  4. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they release their moisture.

  5. Cook until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender, stirring occasionally.

  6. Stir in thyme, salt, and pepper to taste.

  7. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  8. Place a few spoonfuls of the mushroom mixture onto each toast slice.

  9. Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese if desired and garnish with fresh parsley.

  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
