Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti pasta
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a food processor, pulse basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic, nutritional yeast, and salt until combined.

  3. Slowly pour in olive oil while pulsing until mixture becomes a pesto sauce.

  4. In a large pan, heat pesto sauce and add cooked spaghetti. Toss until fully coated.

  5. Add lemon juice and black pepper. Serve hot.
