How To Make Teacakes Recipe

Ingredients

  • 200g self-raising flour
  • 100g butter, softened
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

  4. Gradually add the flour, alternating with the milk, and mix until well combined.

  5. Spoon the batter into a greased or lined muffin tin, filling each hole about two-thirds full.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the teacakes are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack before serving.
