How To Make Salted Toffee Sauce
A deliciously sweet and salty sauce, perfect for drizzling over desserts or dipping fruits in.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Instructions
-
In a medium saucepan, heat the sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until it melts and turns golden brown.
-
Add the butter to the saucepan and whisk until it has melted and is well combined with the sugar.
-
Slowly pour in the heavy cream while whisking constantly. Be careful as the mixture will bubble up.
-
Continue to cook the mixture for another 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until it thickens slightly.
-
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the sea salt.
-
Let the sauce cool for a few minutes before serving. It will thicken as it cools.
-
Drizzle the salted toffee sauce over your favorite desserts or use it as a dip for fruits.
