How To Make Lentil Soup Recipe
A hearty and comforting soup made with lentils, vegetables and warm spices.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup of dried lentils
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp of cumin
- 1 tsp of smoked paprika
- ½ tsp of turmeric
- 4 cups of vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion, carrots, celery and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes until softened.

Add the cumin, smoked paprika and turmeric. Stir well.

Add the vegetable broth and lentils. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for about 20-25 minutes until the lentils are tender.

Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the soup hot with fresh herbs and crusty bread.
