How To Make Cinnabon Coffee Cake

This classic coffee cake has a delicious cinnamon swirl and is topped with a creamy icing.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9-inch square baking dish.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, salt, and baking powder. Stir in milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  3. Pour batter into prepared baking dish.

  4. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon until well combined. Sprinkle over batter and swirl with a butter knife.

  5. Pour melted butter over the top of the batter.

  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cake is lightly golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

  7. Let cool and then prepare icing by mixing powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle icing over the top of the cake.
