  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp cream cheese, softened

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, white sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  2. Add egg, milk, Greek yogurt, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.

  3. In a separate small bowl, mix together cinnamon and brown sugar.

  4. Grease four microwave-safe mugs. Divide batter evenly into the mugs.

  5. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter, and swirl it into the batter with a knife.

  6. Microwave each mug individually for 1 minute.

  7. While the mug cakes are cooking, mix together the softened cream cheese and additional brown sugar (optional).

  8. Once the mug cakes are done, let them cool for a minute before adding dollops of the cream cheese mixture on top.

  9. Serve and enjoy!
