- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, garlic powder, oregano, black pepper, and salt.

In another shallow bowl, mix together breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.

Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off any excess.
