How To Make Cheese and Potato Pie
A delicious and filling pie filled with creamy cheese and tender potatoes.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Place the sliced potatoes in a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for about 5 minutes until they are just tender. Drain and set aside.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

In a greased baking dish, layer half of the cooked potatoes. Sprinkle with half of the cheddar and Parmesan cheese. Drizzle half of the garlic butter mixture over the cheese. Sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper.

Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cheese, garlic butter, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Pour the milk over the top of the pie.

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.

Serve the cheese and potato pie hot.
