How To Make Caramel Sauce

Sweet and sticky caramel sauce perfect for drizzling over desserts.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp of unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the granulated sugar over medium heat until it melts and turns amber in color, stirring occasionally.

  2. Carefully add in the butter, whisking constantly until melted and well combined.

  3. Slowly pour in the heavy cream while whisking continuously until the sauce is smooth.

  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt. Remove from heat.

  5. Let the caramel sauce cool for a few minutes before serving or drizzling over your favorite desserts.
