How To Make Beetroot Burger

A delicious vegetarian burger made with flavorful beetroot and served with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium-sized beetroots, grated
  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1 cup cooked black beans
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated beetroot, cooked quinoa, black beans, bread crumbs, onion, garlic, cumin powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. Form the mixture into patties, using your hands. Make sure the patties are firm and hold their shape.

  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and place the beetroot patties on the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely browned and crispy.

  4. Toast the burger buns in a separate pan or in the oven.

  5. Assemble the burgers by placing the beetroot patties on the toasted buns. Add your choice of toppings and condiments.

  6. Serve the beetroot burgers with a side of sweet potato fries or a salad.
