How To Make Walleye and Corn Salsa Recipe

This dish features crispy walleye fillets served with a fresh and zesty corn salsa.

Ingredients

  • 4 walleye fillets
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup corn kernels
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 red onion, diced
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Juice of 1 lime

Instructions

  1. Pat dry the walleye fillets with paper towels. Mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper in a shallow dish. Coat the fillets lightly with the flour mixture.

  2. Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tbsp of oil. Cook the fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden and crispy. Remove from heat and keep warm.

  3. In a medium bowl, mix together corn kernels, red bell pepper, red onion, jalapeno, cilantro, lime juice, and salt.

  4. Serve the walleye fillets with the corn salsa.
