How To Make Anise Glazed Donuts

Sweet, fluffy donuts with a hint of anise and a sticky glaze on top.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground anise
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground anise.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.

  3. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and fold until a smooth batter forms.

  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

  5. Spoon batter into skillet to form 4-5 donuts.

  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

  7. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make a glaze.

  8. Dip each donut into the glaze and place on a wire rack to cool.
