Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Beat in egg and anise extract.

  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to butter mixture, alternating with milk, until dough forms.

  6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on a greased cookie sheet.

  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden brown.

  8. Cool on wire rack and dust with powdered sugar.
