Mayan Hot Chocolate Recipe

How To Make Mayan Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of milk
  • 4 oz of dark chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp of honey
  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Cinnamon sticks, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until hot, but not boiling.

  2. Add the chopped dark chocolate, cocoa powder, honey, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and vanilla extract to the saucepan.

  3. Whisk constantly until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.

  4. Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and top with whipped cream.

  5. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
