How To Make Coconut Hot Chocolate

Ingredients
- 4 cups of milk
- 1 cup of coconut milk
- 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- whipped cream, for serving
- shredded coconut, for garnish
Instructions

In a medium saucepan, heat the milk and coconut milk over medium heat until hot, but not boiling.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder and granulated sugar. Gradually add this mixture to the heated milk, whisking constantly until well combined.

Add the chocolate chips to the saucepan and continue whisking until melted and smooth.

Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and top with whipped cream and shredded coconut.
