  • 5 cups of sliced apples
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of cold butter, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the sliced apples, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well coated. Transfer the mixture into a 9-inch pie dish.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine the rolled oats, brown sugar, and cold butter. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to mix the ingredients until crumbly.

  4. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apple filling in the pie dish.

  5. Place the pie dish on a baking sheet to catch any drips. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
