How To Make Cranberry & Pear Pies
What better way to get you in a happy mood than having a slice of pie? These baked dishes are perfect for those who can’t get enough of flaky pastries. From an apple variant to a lemon meringue, these pies pastries recipes will satisfy your pie and pastry cravings.

Ingredients
- 2 cups of cranberries
- 2 ripe pears, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 2 sheets of pre-made pie dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 2 tablespoons of turbinado sugar (for sprinkling)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, mix together the cranberries, pears, granulated sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and lemon juice.

Roll out one sheet of pie dough and place it in a 9-inch pie dish. Trim any excess dough.

Pour the cranberry and pear mixture into the pie dish.

Roll out the second sheet of pie dough and cut it into strips for a lattice crust, or cover the pie with a whole sheet and cut slits for ventilation.

Seal the edges of the pie crust and brush the top with the beaten egg. Sprinkle with turbinado sugar.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

Allow the pie to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
