Ingredients

  • 2 ripe pears, peeled and chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, beat together the sugar, oil, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  5. Fold in the chopped pears.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
