Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of ready-made shortcrust pastry
  • 1 cup of mincemeat
  • 1/4 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1 beaten egg, for glazing
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Roll out the shortcrust pastry and cut out circles large enough to line your muffin tin.

  3. Place a spoonful of mincemeat in each pastry-lined muffin cup.

  4. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the mincemeat.

  5. Cut out smaller circles of pastry to use as pie crust tops and gently press them onto each pie.

  6. Brush the tops of the pies with beaten egg for a shiny glaze.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before dusting with powdered sugar.
