Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.

  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.

  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts (if using).

  6. Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch pie dish.

  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  8. Allow the pie to cool before serving. Slice and enjoy!
