Ingredients
- 1 sheet of ready-made puff pastry
- 2 cups milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Ground nutmeg for dusting
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 4-inch circles.

Carefully press the pastry circles into a greased tart pan.

In a saucepan, heat the milk until steaming.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and salt.

Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture while whisking continuously.

Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
