Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 200ml of heavy cream
  • 150g of granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • Ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 4-inch circles. Press the circles into greased tart molds.

  3. In a saucepan, heat the cream and sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.

  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolks and gradually add the hot cream mixture while whisking continuously.

  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  6. Fill the tart molds with the custard mixture, leaving a little space at the top.

  7. Bake the tarts in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until the pastry is golden and the custard is set.

  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool before removing from the molds.

  9. Sprinkle ground cinnamon on top (optional) before serving.
