Ingredients
- 1 cup bran flakes
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.

In a large bowl, combine the bran flakes, whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the molasses, milk, vegetable oil, and brown sugar.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the raisins, if using.

Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
