Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • Whipped cream, for serving
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

  2. In a separate bowl, sift the cocoa powder and powdered sugar together.

  3. Add the sifted mixture, vanilla extract, and salt to the whipped cream. Gently fold until well combined.

  4. Melt the semisweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.

  5. Slowly pour the melted chocolate into the whipped cream mixture. Fold gently until fully incorporated.

  6. Divide the mousse into 4 serving glasses or bowls. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until set.

  7. Before serving, top with a dollop of whipped cream and dust with cocoa powder.
