  • 2 cups of heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°F (80°C).

  2. Pour the heavy cream into a shallow, oven-safe dish.

  3. Place the dish in the oven and leave it undisturbed for 8 hours. The cream will form a thick skin on top.

  4. Carefully remove the dish from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.

  5. Once cooled, cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.

  6. Gently skim off the thickened clotted cream from the top and transfer it to a separate container. Discard the watery liquid (known as whey).

  7. Serve the homemade clotted cream with scones or desserts.
