  • 1 cup Arborio rice
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sherry wine
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the rice, milk, granulated sugar, cinnamon stick, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30-35 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender and the mixture has thickened.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let the mixture cool for a few minutes.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and granulated sugar. Mix well to coat the strawberries in the sugar.

  5. Serve the rice pudding in individual bowls or glasses. Top with the sliced strawberries and drizzle with sherry wine.
