A delicious and moist cake made with sweet figs and crunchy almonds.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped dried figs
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 8-inch cake pan and set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together almond flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

  3. Add melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.

  4. Fold in chopped figs.

  5. Pour batter into prepared cake pan and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.

  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

  7. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
