Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Add the mashed bananas, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined and the batter is smooth.

  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or skillet over medium heat.

  5. Drop spoonfuls of the banana batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, flipping them occasionally.

  6. Remove the fritters from the oil and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.

  7. Dust the fritters with powdered sugar before serving.

  8. Serve the banana fritters warm and enjoy!
