  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until well combined.

  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and chopped pecans, evenly distributing the nuts throughout the dough.

  5. Shape the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on an ungreased cookie sheet.

  6. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass or a fork.

  7. Bake the cookies for 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
