How To Make French Meringues

  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°F (95°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a clean, dry mixing bowl, beat the egg whites on medium speed until frothy.

  3. Gradually add the sugar, a little at a time, while continuing to beat on medium speed until stiff peaks form.

  4. Gently fold in the vanilla extract.

  5. Using a piping bag or a spoon, drop small dollops of meringue onto the prepared baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 60 minutes or until the meringues are dry and easily lift off the parchment paper.

  7. Turn off the oven and let the meringues cool completely inside the oven with the door slightly ajar.

  8. Serve and enjoy!
