How To Make Chewy Sugar Cookie

Ingredients
- ¾cupsugar
- ½cupbutter,softened not melted
- 2tbspbutter-flavored shortening
- ¼tspsalt
- 1egg
- 1tbsplight corn syrup
- 1tspvanilla
- 1tspalmond extract
- 2cupsflour
- 1tspbaking powder
- ½tspbaking soda
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line cookie sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixer, cream sugar, butter, shortening, and salt until light and fluffy.

Add egg, corn syrup, vanilla and almond extract and beat until well mixed.

In a separate bowl mix flour, baking soda and baking powder. Add to wet ingredients.

Scoop and roll into balls. Pat down balls a bit. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool until warm.
Almond Frosting:

Mix 1 cup powdered sugar, ½ tsp. almond extract and a few tablespoons of milk.

Drizzle frosting over warm cookies. Add sprinkles if desired.
