How To Make Chocolate Cobbler

There’s no such thing as too much chocolate, and this chocolate cobbler proves just that. The brownie-like topping hides a layer of warm, gooey fudge sauce.

Ingredients

  • cupunsalted butter,melted
  • ¾cupwhole milk
  • 2tspvanilla extract
  • cupssugar
  • cupsflour
  • ½cupdark cocoa powder,divided
  • tspbaking powder
  • ¾tspsalt
  • cupslight brown sugar,packed
  • cupshot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Spread melted butter over a 9×13-inch baking pan.

  3. In a large bowl whisk together the milk, vanilla and sugar until mostly dissolved.

  4. Add in the flour, ¼ cup cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt, then whisk until just combined and no dry streaks remain.

  5. Spoon batter over the butter, being careful to not mix the butter in.

  6. Mix remaining cocoa powder with brown sugar and sprinkle over batter.

  7. Gently pour the water over the batter and sugar.

  8. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the top is dry.
