  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel candies
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a square baking dish.

  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, melted butter, brown sugar, and salt until crumbly. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

  3. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.

  4. While the crust is baking, melt the caramel candies and heavy cream in a small saucepan over low heat until smooth and creamy.

  5. Pour the melted caramel mixture over the baked crust, spreading it evenly.

  6. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the caramel is bubbly and slightly firm to the touch.

  7. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before cutting into bars.
