- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp instant coffee granules
- ½ cup chopped nuts (optional)

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and instant coffee granules until well combined.

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
