Pineapple Dump Cake Recipe

This recipe is as easy at 1-2-3. With a few ingredients needed, you’ll have a yummy dessert in no time. This will become a favorite after just one bite.


This Pineapple Dump Cake includes tangy and refreshing pineapple flavor topped with a buttery cake crust. It is best paired with cold vanilla ice cream or real whipped cream for a more tasty and exciting flavor.

Ingredients

  • 120 oz crushed pineapple
  • 21 oz filling , I prefer cherries, any flavor
  • 1 pkg yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup butter , cut up
  • 1 cup pecans , or almonds , chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Grease a 13x9x2 inch pan.

  3. Dump pineapple into the pan and spread evenly. Do not drain the pineapple prior to placement in the pan.

  4. Dump in pie filling and spread into one layer.

  5. Dump dry cake mix on pie filling layer, spread evenly.

  6. Sprinkle nuts over cake mix.

  7. Sprinkle cut up butter over top.

  8. Bake for 48 to 53 minutes.

  9. Serve warm or cool.

  10. Top with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.

  11. You can use any pie filling and walnuts may be used.

  12. Alternatively, you may bake the mixture in a crockpot on low for 2 to 3 hours.
