- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup gumdrops, chopped
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add it to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.

Fold in the chopped gumdrops.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
