- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

Make three wells in the dry ingredients and add the vanilla extract, vinegar, and vegetable oil to each well. Pour the water over everything.
