- 10 dried chilies (such as guajillo or arbol)
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 onion
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of sugar

Heat a skillet over medium heat and toast the dried chilies for a few minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat.
