- 1 and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of boiling water
- For the Angel Frosting:
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round baking pan.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add in the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

Gradually pour in the boiling water and mix until the batter is smooth.

Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and smooth the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely.

In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
